The Blue Spider Custom Cap Program offers a unique opportunity to create a custom cap from the ground up. You can create your own cap using the following guidelines:

  1. Cap Profile: Each cap has a crown height please from one of the following:
    1. Low Profile
    2. Medium Profile
    3. High (Pro Style) Profile
  2. Cap Shape: Caps can be made with (constructed front) or without (unconstructed front) buckram laminated panels inside the front two panels. Select from one of the following:
    1. Constructed Front
    2. Unconstructed Front
  3. Number of Panels on the Crown: Select from one of the following:
    1. Six Panel
    2. Five Panel
  4. Fabric: Select from one or more of the following fabric options. Note the list of stock fabric colors for each fabric:
    1. 100% Cotton Twill: Black(BLK), Red(RED), Orange(ORG), Navy(NVY), Royal Blue(ROY), Forest Green(FRG), Khaki(KHK), Stone(STN), White(WHT), Pink(PNK), Light Blue(LTB).
    2. 100% Brushed Cotton Twill: Black(BLK), Red(RED), Orange(ORG), Navy(NVY), Royal Blue(ROY), Forest Green(FRG), Khaki(KHK), Stone(STN), White(WHT), Pink(PNK), Light Blue(LTB).
    3. 100% Heavy Brushed Cotton Twill: Black(BLK), Khaki(KHK), Navy(NVY), Red(RED), White(WHT), FOREST GREEN(FGR), Royal(RYL), Stone(STN)
    4. 100% Washed Cotton Chino Twill: Black(BLK), Navy(NVY), Stone (STN), Forest(FRG), Mustard (MUS), Khaki (KHK)

    11. 100% Washed Cotton Twill: Black(BLK), Red(RED), Orange(ORG), Navy(NVY), Royal Blue(ROY), Forest Green(FRG), Khaki(KHK), Stone(STN), White(WHT), Pink(PNK), Light Blue(LTB).
    Note: There is a 2,592 piece minimum for custom dye color fabrics. Please submit your Pantone color reference for custom dye color.
  5. Visor Style: Select from one of the following:
    1. Pre-Curved Visor: Solid color top and under visor.
    2. Pre-Curved Visor: Solid color top and under visor with contrast stitching
    3. Pre-Curved Sandwich Visor: Solid color top and under visor with contrast color “sandwich” insert.
    4. Pre-Curved Roll Visor: This visor has a contrast color under visor that rolls up over the sides of the top visor.
    5. Pre-Curved Wave Visor: Contrast Color “Wave” Design Insert on Front of Visor
    6. Pre-Curved Sandwich Visor with Custom Lettering Insert: See decoration options below
    7. Flat Visor: No Curve, flat style.
  6. Cap Closure: Select from one of the following:
    1. Self-fabric with Adjustable Velcro Closure
    2. Self-fabric with Slide Buckle
    3. Self-fabric with Brass Buckle and Brass Grommet
    4. Self-fabric with Nickel Buckle and Nickel Grommet
    5. Plastic Snap Tab Adjuster
    6. Solid Back with Spiderweb-to-Fit Elastic Closure to replicate a fitted cap. These elastic fit caps are available in two sizes: S/M and L/XL.
  7. Eyelets: Select from one of the following:
    1. Sewn Eyelets in Solid Color
    2. Sewn Eyelets in Contrast Color—Select Color
    3. Metal Eyelets in Brass
    4. Metal Eyelets in Nickel
  8. Top Button: Select from the following:
    1. Covered Button in Solid Color
    2. Covered Button in Contrast Color—Select Color
  9. Sweatband: Select from the following:
    1. Solid Color Sweatband
    2. Contrast Color Sweatband—Select Color
  10. Decoration Options: Choose one or more decoration types and locations:
    1. Direct Embroidery
      1. Please submit artwork in high res JPG, Illustrator EPS or TIFF file along with any Pantone color references. Pantone colors will be matched as close as possible but exact matches between threads and PMS colors cannot be guaranteed.
      2. Please select your embroidery location or locations. Note that embroidery can be done in any location, including: cap front, visor, cap back, cap side (left or right) or may be designed to cross over from cap front onto visor.
      3. Please indicate the size requested for your embroidery design. Note that every attempt will be made to accommodate size requested.
      4. There no charge for the first embroidered location on custom cap orders above 576 pieces. There is a $75(V) charge per location for each additional embroidery location for set-up.
      5. 3-D (Dimensional) Embroidery is available and should be indicated at the time the request for quote is placed.
    2. Screen Printing
      1. Artwork for screen printed designs must be submitted in vector file artwork such as: Adobe Illustrator EPS or AI files. All type must be outlined. We cannot accept any bitmapped or JPG files for screen printed designs.
      2. Please indicate the Pantone colors requested for screen printing.
      3. Please indicate the location or locations for your screen printed application including: cap front, cap back, cap side (left or right), visor, sweatband or seam tape inside cap. Note that sweatband or seam tape can only be printed in 1-color. Up to four spot colors can be imprinted in any outside locations.
      4. There is no charge for the first screen printed in up to four colors for the first location imprinting. There is a $35(V) per color set-up charge for each additional imprinting location.
    3. 4-Color Process Transfer
      1. Artwork for heat transfers must be submitted in vector file artwork, not bitmapped, for one to four spot colors. 4-Color process transfer artwork may be submitted in vector file or high res JPG or TIFF digital artwork. 4-Color process imprinting does not guarantee exact Pantone color match, however, you should submit a color image with the digital file and any PMS colors for reference on 4-color process artwork.
      2. Please select the location or locations for your transfer.
      3. There is no charge for the first location transfer application. There is a set-up charge of $35(V) per color for each additional location.
    4. PVC Appliqué
      1. PVC Appliqué is a rubber-like patch that is heat sealed onto the cap. It is an excellent way to do a single or multiple color logo with a very unique look.
      2. Artwork for PVC appliqué must be submitted in vector file format such as Adobe Illustrator EPS or AI file with all type outlined. Bitmapped files cannot be accepted. Please indicate any Pantone color references.
      3. Select a location for your PVC appliqués, select from: Cap front, Visor, Cap Back, Cap Sides (left or right).
      4. There is a set-up charge of $100(V) for PVC appliqués.
    5. Woven Label
      1. Woven labels are an excellent way to get detail, especially in small text.
      2. Artwork for woven labels must be submitted in vector file format such as Adobe Illustrator EPS or AI files with all type outlined. Please note that bitmapped files are not acceptable as artwork for woven labels.
      3. Woven labels may be applied to any location including on the Velcro closure and the traditional location on the sweatband inside the cap.
    6. Custom Woven Sandwich Visor Insert
      1. One of the most popular methods to customize a cap is to do a custom woven sandwich visor insert. This is typically done for text only because of the space limitations.
      2. Please submit your text in digital file format, JPG, TIFF, AI or EPS formats are acceptable. Outline all text on vector files.
      3. Choose a color for the visor insert background and a second color for the text.
  11. Custom Stitching: You can select solid color or contrast color stitching on any part of your custom cap.
  12. Packaging: Standard packaging for Blue Spider caps is that 24 caps are poly bagged, those 24 caps are inserted into inner cartons and 6 inner cartons (144 caps) are packed in master cartons.
  13. Special Features: If you want to design your own cap Blue Spider will work with you to create a cap that is customized from the ground up. If you think of something and we can manufacture it, we will make it happen for you—the options are quite extensive and, more than likely limited, only by your imagination.
  14. Procedures: Once we receive all of your requirements for your Blue Spider Custom Cap, including the artwork, quantity and special requirements, the procedure is as follows:
    1. We provide an estimated price quote and delivery time.
    2. Once you approve the pricing and delivery we take 15 days to make and ship you a pre-production sample for approval. Once the pre-production is completed we will confirm final pricing on the custom cap.
    3. Once the pre-production sample is approved it takes 60-90 days for production and shipment via ocean freight.
    4. You can get a quote for air freight and get the shipment with 45-60 days after approval.
    5. Shipping overland is FOB, Warminster, PA is freight charges are added to your invoice.
